LIRA

Mobile multi-wavelength lidar-radar complex for atmospheric monitoring and wind condition forecasting
LIRA
The complex is a combination of modern measuring devices of X-, Ka- and IR-bands and is designed for:
  • Providing meteorological information (horizontal and vertical wind fields, wind shear, dangerous weather phenomena) to dispatch and meteorological services of various facilities (airports, nuclear power plants, wind energy);
  • Collecting data on wind speed and direction at wind power plant installation sites;
  • Research in the field of aeronavigation, meteorology and ecology;
  • Monitoring weather condition changes at international competition venues where weather conditions can affect the effectiveness of participants' actions and their safety (biathlon, ski jumping, aviation competitions).
