Surveillance Systems

The main purpose of multi-channel gyro-stabilized sighting system is detection and identification of distant objects on the land, at the sea and in the air.

The system is installed on different carriers (ships, helicopters, tracked and wheeled vehicles) and has the capacity to monitor, both day and night conditions. While the carrier is moving the system stabilizes the image of cameras and measures the distance to the object even in conditions of vibrations.

MGSS is a multispectral device, so that the operator can observe objects in visible (0.4-0.7 microns) and infrared (8-12 microns) range and can also measure the distance to objects using laser ranger operating at eye-safe wavelength of 1.54 microns.

The device has a two-axis pointing system for vertical and horizontal planes with speed of pointing could be changed smoothly.

High-precision drives of the system allow the operator to transfer quickly the sighting axis (several times higher than the maximum guidance speed) at a desired point within the range of operating angles.
