WINDEX-300 is designed for operational remote sensing and display of information on vector direction and speed rate of air flow at given altitudes and also for identification of low level wind shear and turbulence in the TMA.

In addition to aviation wind lidar are an essential element of equipment for various meteorological services. Also wind lidar can be applied in areas such as wind energy and security.

WINDEX-300 have type certificate of measuring instruments issued by the Interstate Aviation Committee.

WINDEX-300 has a certificate of type approval of measuring instruments issued by the Federal Agency of Technical Regulation and Meteorology.

WINDEX-300 is designed in accordance with GOST and sanitary norms and regulations.

In addition WINDEX-300 is already successfully operated in a number of airports and companies in Russia and CIS.

The device helps to carry out contact-free distant measurements and get information about such parameters as:

  • speed and wind direction at different height
  • wind shear
  • the level of airstream turbulence

WINDEX-2000 -  is an impulse wind lidar. WINDEX-2000 is a powerful device for collecting and creating a database for airport vortex security systems, meteorological services, and for environmental monitoring.

Lidar could provide:

  • Vertical wind profile
  • Wind field 3D mapping
  • Detections of aircraft wake vortices
  • Turbulence measurements
  • Detections of horizontal wind shear and vertical gusts
  • Ceiling measurements

WINDEX-2000 operates in following modes:

  • Circular scanning at given bearing angles range with arbitrary value of elevation angles from 0 to 85⁰
  • Vertical scanning at given range of elevation angles with arbitrary azimuth value
  • Profiler mode in an arbitrary direction (elevation angle ranges from 20 to 90⁰)
  • Laser knife mode that is used to detect aircraft wake vortices
